19 and 22 April 2021 Three representatives of IOM, Tomasz Abramowski, Ivo Dreiseitl and Kamila Mianowicz took part in the fourth annual meeting of exploration contractors to discuss issues of common interest and key areas of work relevant to contractors, organized by the Secretariat of the International Seabed Authority (ISA).
Issues discussed during this virtual meeting covered topics: key outcomes of ISA Capacity Development Workshop, Training Implementation, data management (incl. DeepData), a proposal of the annual compendium on the work of exploitation contractors, status of exploitation regulations, review of the APEIs in the Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone and administrative changes in the ISA Secretariat.
