Szczecin (Poland) The International Seabed Authority Contractors’ Training Programme with the Interoceanmetal Joint Organization has finished. All the trainees prepared reports on their hard and fruitful work during the programme and presented them during the last meeting at IOM’s headquarters on 13 October 2023. The participants received certificates confirming successful completion of the programme.
The aim of the course was to train the future deep-sea exploration project managers skilled for planning tasks associated with all aspects of deep-sea exploration. Candidates received a comprehensive six weeks multidisciplinary training in the topic of polymetallic nodules project management, including legal framework, exploration activities, environmental research, economic cycle and metallurgical processing.
