Szczecin (Poland) The 85th meeting of the IOM Council was held from 24 to 28 November 2025 at IOM Headquarters in Szczecin, Poland. Topics discussed by the Plenipotentiary Representatives of the IOM Member States included exploration activities of the organization, approval of the IOM work plan and budget for 2026, submission of the application for the third extension of the exploration contract with ISA, and commercialization of IOM activities. The agenda included the appointment of the President and the Deputy President of the IOM Council for the next two-year term, the appointment of member of the IOM Audit Committee and the re-appointment of the Director General of IOM. The next meeting of the IOM Council will be held in Szczecin, Poland in May 2026.
